What We Believe

In 2010, Living Hope became fully independent that had been birthed from their mother church in Palisades.  They began a journey first in an elementary school for a year in Fort Lee, then an office complex in Old Tappan for another year, and for the last four years embraced and celebrated becoming multiethnic in Paramus.

Each step has enlarged our territory, expanded our outreach, and gave us greater clarity in being the body of Christ.  It is indeed an exciting time as we continue to grow and make impact all for His glory.

Over these years, we have affirmed that His most important tasks are to bring the Word to all people, with an emphasis on the next generation.  Even the mission field has never been apart from educating the next generation as ultimately it is this next generation that will take the lead in bringing the Word to their communities and beyond.

However, in order for that generation to bring the Word they must understand the Word and live it out in their own lives.  For how can you teach everything Jesus taught, the Gospel, the Truth, the Way and the Life without understanding the Word, which was in the beginning and is God?  How can men take spiritual headship or women be on God’s side?

The more they understand God’s Word and follow after His Word, will our homes be protected and our futures secure.   We believe faith comes from hearing the Word of God and thus our preaching spans the breadth of Scripture.  We take the education of our children seriously and with passion.  We encourage our people to live out these truths daily and we enjoy the fellowship of what it means to be a part of the family of God.

Thus, our church emphasizes a deepening relationship with God and others.  Our church is focused on giving as many opportunities to do that in the many different groups and missions it accomplishes, not just locally but worldwide.

We have understood the responsibility that we have been given as Living Hope and it has inspired us from young to old.  You see how the vision is being realized as young people not only step up, but they lead and they do it well.

We must not make the same mistake of the first generation and think we are establishing a church for ourselves and for our children to inherit.  Instead we must be active in teaching and walking with this next generation that gives priority to their needs without spoiling them.

We must take proper stewardship of God’s generosity and use it to establish the next generation.

Together we are Living Hope and we invite you to join us!
