Pastor John Parker

Senior Pastor

Pastor John has served as Senior Pastor of Living Hope Church since 2006. Prior to his arrival at Living Hope, Pastor John founded and grew two successful ministries including Vision Christian Fellowship from 2001 to 2006 and the English service ministry at Covenant United Methodist Church from 1997 to 2001. He has a background in medicine and counseling; was a recipient of Denman Preaching Award, and was named a Bishop Golden Scholar. He is actively involved with JAMA and is a founding faculty member of the Global Leadership Development Institute. He is also president of the International Community United for Change, an organization committed to making lasting, positive impact in the mission field. God has instilled in him a heart for education, missions and preaching the Gospel. He is grateful for the privilege and opportunity to serve God in healing the broken-hearted and helping the underprivileged as well as training youth for worldwide ministry and meeting the spiritual needs of the local community.

Pastor Christine Shin

Education Pastor

Pastor Christine Shin graduated from Seoul National University with a B.A. in music. She also attended Claremont Theological seminary with a Master’s of Divinity degree and was ordained in 1998. She served as the senior pastor of Trinity UMC in CA, before becoming the associate pastor of Flushing KUMC in NY. She then became the education pastor of Vision Christian Fellowship and has been serving as the education pastor of Living Hope since 2007. Her giftings are worship, education, and teaching. She is devoted to women’s ministry, leading Bible studies weekly and prayer meetings. She has two daughters, Pearl and Jacqueline and if you don’t know, she is also Pastor John’s wife.

Pastor Johnny Ahn

College & Young Adult Pastor

Pastor Johnny Ahn has been actively involved in youth ministry since 1999 and enrolled into Alliance Theological Seminary (Urban Ministry) to pursue full-time ministry in 2006. While attending seminary, he served as a youth pastor at Vision Christian Fellowship and later at New Vision Covenant Church for 8 years. His focus has been worship & praise, local & global missions, mobilization of youth, and encouraging youth and young adults to spread the gospel and to build the global community of Christ beyond home churches. In 2016, he joined Living Hope Church as the youth pastor. In 2023, Pastor Johnny transitioned to our college and young adult ministry. Johnny is married to Kana Ahn and has a beautiful daughter Lydia Ellie Ahn.
